The 9th Island website is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA: keyboard-navigable menus, visible focus indicators, 44px minimum tap targets, form labels and plain-language error messages, captions on video content, and full support for reduced-motion preferences.

Dark mode follows your system preference. Hawaiian diacritics — ʻokina and kahakō — are rendered as proper characters, not approximations, so screen readers and search handle them correctly.
